Jackie Stewart at the Unvailing of the Jim Clark Memorial at the BRDC during the Silverstone 500

Sir Jackie Stewart, three-time Formula 1 World Champion, was present at the unveiling of the Jim Clark Memorial at the British Racing Drivers’ Club at Silverstone, as part of the Silverstone 500 weekend. Clark, who remains one of the greatest drivers in the history of the sport, won two Formula 1 World Championships in 1963 and 1965, as well as the Indianapolis 500 in 1965. He and Stewart were close friends and rivals during one of the most celebrated eras in motorsport history, before Clark’s tragic death at Hockenheim in April 1968.
